Saúl Suárez Flores, Esq. is the Principal at Suarez Law, with legal practice that specializes in real estate development projects, hospitality projects, government affairs, taxes, fiscal incentives, contract counseling and drafting, corporate and stockholder counseling, litigation, collection of monies, civil litigation, and trust and estate matters. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and he is also a Notary Public. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2012. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) with a concentration in Finance from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.
Mr. Suárez has extensive experience in government, having previously served as the Director of Planning and Development at the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), where he directed, evaluated, supervised, and coordinated the activities of the PRTC’s Planning and Development Office to ensure the implementation of programs and projects for the construction of tourism facilities. He processed private development proposals or projects of special interest of the Government and implemented programs to improve the quality of tourist services. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of the Hotel Development Corporation, PRTC’s lending arm and real estate agent in charge of the Government of Puerto Rico investments in tourism facilities. Mr. Suárez analyzed and evaluated studies, contracts, bills, transactions, plans, and other documents to issue recommendations for decision-making by the PRTC’s Executive Director and/or the Governor of Puerto Rico. He established contacts and internal official relations with management personnel, work teams, government officials, and businesspeople of the tourism sector.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Suárez has represented clients on various matters, such as real estate development projects, hospitality projects, government affairs, taxes, fiscal incentives, contract counseling and drafting, corporate and stockholder counseling, litigation, collection of monies, civil litigation, and trust and estate matters.
He is currently an active member of the board of directors of a local credit union, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
